February 3, 2010, 6.30 pm suddenly I wasn’t able comment on my own “orkut pic” (n ya this wans’t morphed at all ) uploaded in the morning .I felt deprived from my constitutional fundamental right ,“Right of Freedom”(includes Freedom of speech and expression) in my own 62 n half year old independent country. Are we really in a Democratic country ? Even “ Bapu” won’t support such intrusion .
February 4, 2010 campus flooded with the activities of “Coll. Verbal Media” ,we rarely get something for our rusted neurons to work for . After 4-5 hrs of Brownian movement they came up with crux of the matter as a “Four page complaint”….heavily loaded content, explaining the behavioral characteristics of “MNNIT boys”. I am sure if people from Oxford could get hand on this thesis “The Behavior & Characteristics of MNNIT Boys”, its gonna be in the “oxford’s list of abusive words “.

1. Slapping issue
Noo cmments !!….this is purely a personal issue n hav nothing to do with social community sites &
so called “MNNIT Boys “ mentality .
2. Illegal sharing
Come on…we don’t support such sharing but according to me we can ignore this faulty side of it when there is a huge adv.( do anybody need need a list of it? …. :D…will take pages..even more than 4 ). And yaa…..Sorry if someone is really high in ethics (like against piracy and all……). Do they really don’t watch new movies at home or used pirated windows?...then they deserve a salute from all the “MNNIT Boys”.
Hey !! is it from some CSE student? …kya boss …u people didn’t tell anyone that u are done with some software that can open a file (shared on dc++ ) on a remote PC having no DC++ at all( as we have been told that girls don’t even use DC++ ) and thus forcing people to watch such content against there will !!!! ..grt …. tagde coder hain bhai MNNIT CSE main !!!
Really !!…… I still can’t understand how few things can be so annoying for someone .You need not to go through everything on DC++, I don’t think it is in the course curriculum of any branch( I am sure abt 8 branches ,may be in some new branches started recently….).But still ….course sub. main bhi itna nahi padhna hota B.Tech ke liyea yrr….u can leave few topics [:)]!!!!
3. Fake Accounts
I strongly condemn such efforts.!!!! Ohhh god !!! Boys are Boys.
Before starting anything, I want to confirm one thing that is there any privilege provided by Google to MNNIT campus ?can’t this be done from outside (other than MNNITian)?......who confirms the area code of account operation? One more thing ….u ppl understand the difference between a fake and a real account , don’t u? I am sure none takes these fake stupidity seriously(as far as I see people around me).
Is there no other way for it ? I mean ,other than stop ppl access from rooms …...
These issues should be handled like a grown up, u don’t write Airtel to block your local network on a fake call. There are other ways… .Also, is there any restriction on fake profile operation from a outside? I don’t think so …… . Yaarrr CC bhi to hai …100.14. So ,how this restriction gonna curb
“ MNNIT Boys” ….problem is still the same.
4. Some incidents during G+
This is really bad [L]….but still in any group of human beings , if we start analyzing the characteristics of human behavior ,we will surely get at least 1% deviation. 10 -20 people (<1% style=""> u ppl analyze a campus ,better practice some “case study” question (placements mai baithna hai na……”ZS” n “GS” poochti hai ) .
I suppose we should come forward against such incidents and follow legalities rather than cursing orkut n facebook for it(I don’t think they run any compulsive classes for this), n I am sure most of us will support.
This wasn’t any attempt to raise any “Girls-Boys” issue. I just want that we all should stand above these childish activity of cursing each other….guys plz u all r grown up now .. stop behaving like a school kid(some essence of maturity is wat required on such issues ) .

I want to bring it to all of your notice that few people in authority and their close friends, who consider themselves above than others (they may have their reasons, but this is no way of expressing your authority), are using port forwarding technique on 100.23 and port 44444.
Now this will hit them in the face. If the Internet Usage Policy has become so menial these days, then how come some ppl are using the blocked sites freely and claiming they are not doing so.
P.S. to the culprits: If you want to show your authority, then go somewhere else. We have already been victims of so many things. Let us pass our 3 months in peace.
Sorry, I was carried away by the heated discussion we had in our wing this evening. I intended to write about the policy, but couldn't control my viewpoints.

yaar their are some of facts which i would to reveal through this post is that:
ReplyDelete1- most of the girls share there pics by themselves only. i have seen many girls sharing there all the drives and g talk received folder on DC. so i have to kick many girls so that their content is not shared.
2- once i was their on DC check out the file list of people then i found 23 gb of the movies which were not supposed to seen by girls or any other person.
so this kind of girls are their then the blame come to our boys that they are mischievous but the fact is girls are more then boys.
we boys show it in public but girls you could never know when they do such kind of things.
That's what! We don't want to start girls boys issue. That sucks. But don't play possum with this attitude.

Technically,speaking our College has NOT banned Orkut or Facebook,there have been no official notifications regarding it,no changes in the MNNIT rulebooks as of NOW ...So, no one can take any action against us if we are found using them.
ReplyDeleteThe only one who wants to block these sites is the System Administrator of a single server namely 172.31.100.29 and even he is not serious about it otherwise he would have blocked sites like http://unblock.me which contain updated lists of sites to use for bypassing the DNS filters he has put ..so as such anyone can use port forwarding from the Girls Hostel,Computer Centre,other labs,computers allotted to people for academic purposes and the college can only take action if they find that it is a misuse and I think even that is not possible since no one of us has signed a contract that the computers given to us by the college cannot be used for port forwarding.It is entirely dependent upon a person's morality weather he/she wants to use college computers in such way,which is more then what I can say for some folks at TPO.I don't do it nor allow it on any of my computers.
@Beagleboy you can comment,blog,swear at the wrong guys all you want but the truth is you are just a rat a pathetic little rat who cannot dig his own hole so is foul-mouthing the bigger creatures.Regarding 23,Beagleboy if you have the guts to come to my room I will open up the server for you to inspect if port forwarding is/was happening.My Room No. is Tilak-128.

on first reading the post....i was elated that someone had taken the initiative. and though i do agree i first thought it would be the usual against gals post, it was nice to see someone put it the right way. and then came the comments.....what i fail to understand is that why is "MNNIT" always ready to fight among themselves in the worst way possible rather than concentrate on the main point. the "gals" are as agitated by the whole issue as the "boys". so if instead of concentrating on "gals" and "boys" we concentrate on the issue and use the comments to put in our suggestions how to get past this, we would atleast achieve something other than disgust. lets have some mature talk here rather than some kindergarden kids fighting.

ReplyDeleteYou can never block anything for everybody unless you remove the net connection itself so either do that and give us our money back which we pay for net or remove the ban because it serves no purpose except making accessing facebook,orkut a little more adventurous a little more exciting and infact it has only proved FB,Orkut's importance in our life people are ready to go to any lengths for it as proved by the comments above..:P
Since, Ashwini has started the blog and gave us all the mud to sling ..please make a petition for this ..I will help with whatever you need ..
